Playground Update

For those parents who haven't been by the school in the last couple of days, the old kindergarten playground is being demolished in preparation for the new playground. Please check your child's notices today to find out more information on the playground and the PAC fund-raising program

I think it's great that they're making a new playground for little kids! but... I loved that playground. My sister did. Since i was in kindergarden I played there. Lots of memories.I do not agree on this action, so I will not give any money at all!!

I agree. I grew up with that wonderful playground, and now it's gone... If the PAC wants money, I'm sorry, but it's not coming from me!

I agree with the above three. I know the playground is for the kindergarteners but when we were in Kindergarten we played on that playground and we loved it. Seeing it torn was the worst thing to ever feel. NO MONEY IS COMING FROM THIS FAMILY!

I’m glad to hear that so many students of Chaffey-Burke have such fond memories of the playground. It is very sad when something we enjoyed so much as children has to be removed due to safety concerns. The reality is that if parents had not shown initiative to replace the playground, the school board would have eventually removed it, and the children would have no playground at all. Everyone who helped raise funds for the new kindergarten playground has contributed to something that will remain a part of Chaffey and the community for many years to come. Our primary playground is now facing the same situation and we hope to raise funds this year to help purchase a new one. It is through the generosity of parents and the community that we are able to add value to our children’s educational and social experience at Chaffey.
