Burnaby DPAC presents Building Resiliency in Children on Wed, Feb 9, 2011

The Building Resiliency in Children presentation will include the following topics:
What is resiliency, the importance of resiliency in children and adults, how to foster this in our children, and how to foster this in ourselves as parents, and in communities. Throughout this presentation is also building resiliency within various profiles (i.e. the anxious child, depression, ADHD, no mental health issues)

Kathleen Rea, RN, BA, M.C.Psych has 8 years experience working at the Provincial ADHD clinic and Children’s hospital as well as generalized counsellor in private practice. At the clinic Kathleen has ran and developed the parent program and instituted an education program for teachers and community. Kathleen’s focus has been to help support families and individuals experiencing mental health problems cope, flourish and empower their potential.
